Touch Therapy Fidget Quilts
Beginning in 2016, the Ames Quilt Guild has made over 600 Touch Therapy Fidget Quilts, which have been donated to Mary Greeley Hospital, the Households of Bethany, Heartland Senior Services and Friendship Ark. These quilts are small lap quilts with activities to help calm dementia patients. Each quilt measures approximately 18 to 24 inches and includes such items as buttons, Velcro, zippers, pockets, and elastic, to keep the patient busy. Fidget quilts may be delivered to Mary Greeley any time by dropping them off at the front desk using the south entrance. Staff will make sure they are delivered to Medical/Telemetry. |

Charity Baby Quilts
We collect baby quilts for new mothers who need a little extra assistance. Currently, the quilts are distributed by Informed Choices. For more information please contact Linda Peterson, [email protected].
