- Thurs., Jan. 22 -- UFO Challenge—with a Twist, (6pm, Ames Quilt Guild Meeting, First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave., Ames)
- Mon., Feb. 16 -- Day Trip: I-80 Quilt Show (8am-6pm; The Gathering Barn, 350 220th St., Williamsburg, IA)
- Thurs., Feb. 26 -- UFO Challenge Drawing (6pm, Ames Quilt Guild Meeting, First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave., Ames)
- Fri., Mar. 6 – Class: Lone Star Quilt, Taught by Kathy Jones; (9am-4pm, City Church, 2400 Oakwood Rd., Ames)
- Tues. & Wed. April 14-15 – Spring Quilt Retreat (9am-9pm both days, Boone History Center, 602 Story St., Boone)

- Fri., Aug. 7 – First Friday Open House at Mainframe Studios: Visit to Sue Penn Designs, Patrick Lose Studios, and many others; (3:30-9pm, 900 Keosauqua Way, Des Moines, IA)
